When I first met Caryll she was wearing black leather pants and toting a bass guitar (we were shooting a music video). Then I learned she works as an emergency room nurse. So, yes, she's a total bad ass, but the nicest bad ass you will ever meet! I was delighted to learn months later that she had met a great guy in Arthur and that she wanted me to photograph their wedding.
The event was held at the Gramercy Mansion Carriage House, a charming venue north of Baltimore with beautifully landscaped grounds. The ceremony was held on the lawn, officiated by Melissa Sharlat (another local musical talent by the way). After the ceremony we ran around the gardens in the afternoon light and shot some portraits, then were off to the carraige house for great food, limbo dances and speeches. Oh, and a green lantern wedding cake... very cool, first one of those I've ever seen in 20 years of photographing weddings!
As a final note, in case you're curious, here's the music video, by the Baltimore band "The Frontier Dentists".

I said "Give me a big laugh" And so they did!
