Oy, do I love photographing Jewish weddings! I love the traditions - the tisch, the badecken, the ketubah signing, the hora - I love the dancing and the music, and most of all I love the sheer exuberance and joy.
Josh and Alisha's wedding had all the great emotion I've come to expect at Jewish weddings, and added their own terrific sense of humor. One detail that I loved was their "Masters of the Universe" kiddush cup (pictured below). Three hundred plus weddings under my belt, and I've never seen anything like it!
Both their ceremony and reception were held at Historic Oakland, a lovely old house in the heart of Columbia with beautiful grounds for portraits or roaming around with a glass of wine in your hand. Check out the photos below to get a taste of a wonderful event.
