Kim and Matt's destination wedding was my first of hopefully many in the Florida Keys. I mean, 85 degrees in November, reception nex to the ocean with palms trees all around!? Not exactly a hardship. I am grateful to Julie at Simply You Weddings for organizing such a beautiful event-- and to Matt and Kim for being so lovely, full of life and fun to photograph!
The wedding ceremony was held at the San Pedro Catholic Church and the reception at the Marriott Key Largo. My day started with getting ready shots at the Marriott. I photographed the ladies while my lovely and talented assisto-wife Karen took photos of the guys. Later we headed to the church for the ceremony, where I learned that the couple's super cool pastor came all the way from Arkansas to officiate.
For the reception we were back at the Marriott. The mojitos started to flow while I shot portraits by the water, after which everyone enjoyed an epic sunset and a gentle night breeze off the ocean. Later the music kicked on and the dance floor started jumping-- and was still going when I left late in the evening.
