How do a gal from New Orleans and a guy from Mississippi end up getting married in Key West with a photographer from Baltimore?! I don't have all the answers, but Google definitely helped! I was honored to learn that Justin is a fellow photojournalist, and had looked me up because he liked the authenticity of the photos in my portfolio. Honored, and a little nervous, I must admit. Shooting for a fellow photographer is like having your friend the chef over for dinner!
Fortunately, Lindsay and Justin gave me all the perfect ingredients to make great photos at their wedding. First, they picked some of the most photogenic venues in town: St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Casa Marina Resort. More importantly though, they and their families were so expressive, emotional and loving -- and also knew how to have fun! All I had to do was point my camera in the right general direction and the pictures just jumped onto my memory card.
One of my favorite moments of the day was after the groomsmen stripped down to their vests (no shirts underneath!) to show Lindsay some of their most Chippendale-worthy dance moves. When they were all done, Justin's innocent young brother shyly came over asking for his own turn to dance with the bride. It was such a sweet moment it choked me up a bit. Scroll down to the last photo to see that dance, and stop along the way to check out some other highlights from a fantastic day!
