I took a little time out from my vacation in Key West last week to do some bridal portraits of my lovely wife Karen. We took the photos at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, my favorite beach on the island and a great place to watch the sunset.
We started the shoot in the park's small hardwood hammock forest, which was crawling with iguanas and insects -- a bit distracting for my city girl wife. (I scrupulously avoided talking about Florida's python problem). As the sun got lower in the sky, we moved out onto the rocky shore line where the light was spectacular, and where we enjoyed listening to Jimmy Buffet being blasted from a nearby catamaran full of rum soaked tourists.
After the sun dropped below the horizon, we were very politely kicked out by the park's security guards, after which we headed out for some live music and rum drinks ourselves!
