I had a great afternoon of short family portrait sessions the other day on Federal Hill in Baltimore. I got to check in on some former wedding clients (love to see how their families are growing) and meet some lovely new couples and their children.
I really like the 30 minute sessions for family portraits, especially when shooting younger children. Having just half an hour to work keeps everyone focused, and is just enough time to get a great set of photographs before the kids get bored --- or melts down! The park at Federal Hill also has a lot to offer a photo shoot for a relatively small space -- beautiful shady groves, perfect lawns, great views, and of course the swing set.
