These pictures almost didn't happen. Rachel and Ryan live on the west coast and it was hard to align our schedules for an engagement shoot. By the time we had worked out a time and date, it was late November. The weather was a bit raw and the trees had lost most of their leaves. I told the couple that if they wanted to postpone the shoot until the spring, I would understand.
But these guys are troopers, and wanted to go for it. And I was able to find an area where winter was holding off for a few more days. It was Wyman Park, right in the heart of Baltimore near Johns Hopkins University. It's the place I walk my dog every day. I know every tree, rock, squirrel and section of trail in that park. And I knew we still had some beautiful backdrops to work with. And with Rachel and Ryan as an even more beautiful foreground, we ended up with lots of great images!
